Ultimate US Public Campgrounds App Reviews

So far this app is quite useful. I look forward to using it. It would be a nice addition if a park you select has a hot link to the page to make reservations.

This RV campground app was recommended on an RV website for locating public campgrounds so I purchased the US and Canada bundle. When I opened I reviewed areas I know have many public campgrounds, such as the many US Forest Service campgrounds in Sawtooth National Recreation area and surrounding Idaho national forests and this app showed practically none. I looked at the Canada app and it omits many National park campsites. Although it shows some lesser known campgrounds such as municipal campgrounds, overall this app is a waste of money. Pass it by.

This is a good app. It has useful information, good links, easy to use. Could it be better, yes. So could some of that crap Ive spent much more on. Looking forward to future improvements but for now this is a solid, useful app.

This app works well online, but not very helpful if you have no internet, although the description says you can use it offline. You can search by place name, but this limits results considerably. It depends on Google Maps. Only buy if you will have Internet access. For me it was a big waste of money

This APP has been a great resource for finding low cost campgrounds as we traveled in WY, CO, NM. It is very easy to use.

I think that I have all the other web sites and apps for camping that there are and have found Ultimate CG to be the best. I like the fact that everything regarding location and other info regarding sites is almost always correct and complete and constantly updated. If you camp you need this app. I am not associated with the maker, so this is a honest review.

What a powerful tool to use to find public campgrounds! I really appreciate how it seamlessly maps all the public entities, and the campgrounds are color coded too. Very useful to have all the public options on one app. This has already saved me money when I find campgrounds that were otherwise hidden. I gave this app as a Christmas gift to several RV friends and they were all very happy with it as well. I like the weather feature that tells the weather at the destination. I find it very helpful that it is integrated with Google maps. Finally, I have used it three times in the past week to find various public campgrounds that were beautiful! Admittedly, this is one of my very favorite apps.

I am planning out summer camping trips and this is really helping plan things out.

Save your money !!!!!!! Cant access half the states on the screen .Clicked on Wyoming 5 times an just kept going to Idaho.well after having this app for a week its even worse than i thought !!!!!!!!TOTAL RIP OFF

As a nomad I have come to rely upon this app, I would gladly pay much more for this it. Very well thought out and works flawlessly!

This app is awesome. I have yet to use it in real life but all of the places I am familiar with are accurate, I believe this app will be very valuable in my future travels. Gave only four stars as I havent use it in the field yet.

This is the most comprehensive listing of public campgrounds Ive found. From full-service campgrounds to remote boondocking, they are here, nearly 20,000 of them. Federal, state, county, municipal, utility companies are all included. What makes this app stand out, besides the extensive data, are the filters that allow the user to refine his search. You can also store favorites. All the data (monthly updates are issues) is within the app, so internet access is not required for basic use.

I love this app! Tells me what I need to know and seems to have full coverage of the U.S. Perfect!

This app made my recent 5 month RV trip even better. It provides locations and summaries with more detailed info a tap away. Not the most intuitive navigation but it works. Well worth the $5.

Dont usually stay in campgrounds but this app has all the info and works with no cell signal. Have used it to research dispersed camping (also in the lists) and routes in a dozen states and across thousands of miles.

I have truly never written a review before, but Bill and Ted (really!) have put together a great app I have found to be incredibly helpful in planning camping trips that do not rely on commercial sites. Customer service is excellent. Lots of instant info with links to helpful websites, even Google maps. You can plan a route from anywhere to anywhere and track your progress from within the app. You can set an "origin point" and sites will appear according to distance from that point. Overall, just a great app.

Have been using this app all summer with mostly positive results...but now if you I go to a campground website from the app it app it locks in on the website with no way out. Have to delete app and reinstall.

I spent 40 days hunting daily for non commercial campgrounds last autumn, often failing to find best options close by. This app is perfect. I can find all possible public sites as I go! Yeah!!
